Three-time Monte Carlo Award winner: How ZENWLL’s two nut gift boxes won over the “Oscars of the food industry”
Three-time Monte Award winner: How ZENWLL’s two nut gift boxes win hearts “ The Oscars of the food industry ”
Whether a food brand is trustworthy may be gauged by the repeated endorsements of international judging organizations. On the 2026 Monde Selection list, two products from ZENWLL Food Group—“Global Tea Nuts” and “Royal ZENWLL·Glory”—both won gold medals. Counting the two previous wins in 2021 and 2022, this marks ZENWLL’s third time receiving this honor. Throughout the Monde Selection’s more than sixty-year history, few Asian nut brands have managed to earn multiple awards. ZENWLL’s name is increasingly being recognized by international professionals in the nut-food industry.
Rigorous international evaluation: Triple certification underscores unwavering commitment to quality.
The Monde Selection was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Brussels. Each year, thousands of food products from more than 90 countries and regions are submitted for evaluation by an independent panel of experts, who score them across multiple dimensions, including flavor, texture, ingredients, and packaging. Winning a gold medal through this rigorous process signifies that a product enjoys a clear advantage over its peers. ZENWLL’s three consecutive awards in 2021, 2022, and 2026 demonstrate that this advantage is no mere coincidence.
According to reports, the two award-winning products, “Global Tea Fruit” and “Royal ZENWLL·Glory,” share a common hallmark: their ingredients are sourced from the world’s premier growing regions, and they adhere to minimal or zero additives. In the jury’s evaluations, “authentic flavor” and “natural texture” were recurring themes. In other words, ZENWLL does not rely on elaborate seasoning to cater to market trends; instead, it focuses on bringing out the pure, inherent taste of the nuts themselves. This is precisely the quality that the Monte Awards judges value—and it also epitomizes ZENWLL’s “Global Selection” philosophy.
Global strategic sourcing: In 2024, we’re focusing on just one thing.
ZENWLL Food Group was founded in 2002, and from the very beginning, it set a clear goal: to produce high-quality nuts. While this goal may sound straightforward, turning it into reality requires substantial investment. Over the past two decades, ZENWLL has built four wholly owned factories in Beijing, Nanjing, Henan, and Yunnan, with cumulative investments totaling RMB 800 million. These facilities are equipped with a 300,000-level sterile purification workshop, a 100,000-level sterile purification workshop for zongzi and pastry products, and a 60,000-cubic-meter food‑preservation warehouse. Each day, these factories can produce more than 4 million packages of nuts and over 200,000 gift boxes.
But production capacity is only the foundation. What truly enables ZENWLL to compete with international brands is its supply chain. ZENWLL has a 20-person procurement team that spends the year traveling to the core producing regions of 23 countries worldwide. Chilean walnuts, American hazelnuts, Amazon rainforest abalone nuts, Australian macadamia nuts… every batch of raw materials undergoes screening under the “Six-Stage Quality Control System.” This level of control over the source is rare among domestic nut companies, yet it is the procurement standard ZENWLL adheres to every day.
Honors Empower Growth, Together Embarking on a New Chapter for the Industry
The double gold medal at the 2026 Monte Awards holds at least three layers of significance for ZENWLL.
The first layer is verification. ZENWLL has proven the viability of its approach—direct sourcing from core production areas and using fresh, in-season ingredients. Many food companies compromise on ingredient quality to cut costs. ZENWLL did not take that route, and the Monte Award results demonstrate that unwavering commitment to quality ultimately pays off.
The second layer is confidence. It’s not uncommon for Chinese food brands to win awards in international competitions, but only a handful manage to secure accolades across three consecutive editions. ZENWLL has spent five years proving that Chinese nut brands can deliver consistent results in prestigious international evaluations. This kind of consistency builds consumer trust far more effectively than a single award.
The third level is the starting point. Within ZENWLL, there is a shared understanding: the trophy is not the end, but the beginning of the next phase of work. After winning the Monte Award, the challenge ZENWLL faces is not “whether to keep doing well,” but “how to do even better.”
From an industry perspective, ZENWLL’s award has set a quality‑centric development benchmark for domestic food companies, encouraging the sector to place greater emphasis on ingredient traceability, production standardization, and product healthiness, thereby helping the entire nut industry upgrade to higher quality. As a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization, ZENWLL’s sustained growth will also drive coordinated progress across the upstream and downstream value chain, injecting fresh vitality into the deep‑processing of agricultural products.
Looking ahead, ZENWLL will take this award as a new starting point, continue to uphold its corporate mission and vision, further strengthen its global supply-chain network, and expand its direct-sourcing network in key production regions to ensure the freshness and consistent quality of its raw materials. At the same time, it will actively broaden its international market presence, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of Chinese food to consumers worldwide, and helping Chinese nut brands gain greater recognition and attention on the global stage.
